All participants must weigh in or be in line to weigh their fish in by 3:00 pm.. “Calcasieu Point is such a great venue to hold a catch & release tournament. Its proximity to Big Lake helps keep a lot of these trout alive. Elaine Huck and her staff do such an outstanding job catering to all the anglers,” said Chas Drost, Lake Charles CCA Chapter President. “The Aquarium of the America’s will also be on site to help with the tagging & releasing of the live trout. It’s neat to see them working with a tank full of live trout.” The catch-and-release format tournament encourages all anglers to weigh live trout at the official scale and then return the fish to water.
